Arkanoid (SID No More Mix)
Can you feel it, see it, hear it today?
Well, if you can't, then you've got to be deaf in some way
And you will never understand what ...???
And it feels like your ears are made of glass
It's so cool, it's so hip, it's so right
It's so groovy, it's outta sight
You can't touch it nor smell it but it still is so sweet
And the sound of the SID makes you move your feet
You want a SID and you're gonna get it
[Splippen, ploppen?] that's what it's for
So you flip the disk and then you listen some more
You've got to sing it, got to say it,
Then you bring it and then you play it
You want a SID and you're gonna get it (yeah, yeah, yeah)
It's in your ears and you can't hear it (yeah, yeah, yeah)
It's alive, afraid, a lie, a sin
It's magic, not tragic, and it plays when you win
It's dry, not moist; it's a parent's pain
I'm back in ??? and I'm not ashamed
It's SID (what is SID?)
It's SID (what is SID?)
It's the SID (but what is SID?)
SID (what is SID?)
It's the SID (yeah, but what the fuck is the SID?)
It's the SID
Oh, it's the SID (what is SID?)
It's the SID (what is SID?)
It's the SID
It's the SID
Oh, it's the SID
Oh, it's the SID
Artura
The night was cold and bitter. He was looking for an inn
When the Devil shined before him showing off an awful grin.
The demon spake — "You're frozen" — and he nodded to the beast.
"A fee so small," the Dark One said, "can make your life a feast."
"Come within these walls of mine before the frost thee bite.
Grab yourself a bottle of wine and drink it with delight.
Come within these walls of mine before the frost thee bite.
At me table you will dine; get yourself another pint."
Well, the young man said, "Don't bother: soon I'll find an inn,
Because your home and castle is built on wicked sin."
The Devil looked offended as the offer was denied,
But still he opened up the door, inviting him inside:
"Come within these walls of mine before the frost thee bite.
Grab yourself a bottle of wine and drink it with delight.
Come within these walls of mine before the frost thee bite.
At me table you will dine; get yourself another pint."
The demon kept on preaching: "I can make you whole;
And all I ask of you, good sir, is your immortal soul."
The Dark One asked, "Are you not tempted?" He said "Not the least!"
For little did the Devil know the man talking was a priest.
"Come within these walls of mine before the frost thee bite.
Grab yourself a bottle of wine and drink it with delight.
Come within these walls of mine before the frost thee bite.
At me table you will dine; get yourself another pint."
Binary, Baby
Silicon brains think in binary: on or off
Silicon people talk in binary: true or false
Zeros and ones
Don't ask why
Just like ...???
Bitch
(Apoptygma Berzerk cover)
You are causing me pain when you are acting that way
I'm wrapped around your fingertips; I beg you to stay
I always thought that we were two of a kind
But now we are not, so you can kiss my behind
Oh
You know I tried, but now I'd rather die
Than be with you again
I always tried but now I realise
I won't go through this again
Believe it or not but I'm still alive
You're feeding on my blindness like a kick in the eye
Every time you hurt me I lie helpless for a day
I try to stand up but you are in my way
Every time you hurt me I lie helpless for a day
I try to stand up but you are in my way
Every time you hurt me I lie helpless for a day
I try to stand up but you are in my way
You know I tried, but now I'd rather die
Than be with you again
I always tried but now I realise
I won't go through this again
You know I tried, but now I'd rather die
Than be with you again
I always tried but now I realise
I won't go through this again
Hey! Come back here!
Bitch
You know I tried, but now I'd rather die
Than be with you again
I always tried but now I realise
I won't go through this again
You know I tried, but now I'd rather die
Than be with you again
I always tried but now I realise
I won't go through this again

Cauldron 2-005
Where once the tiny cottage stood
A mighty palace dwarfs the wood
And there within the highest tower
The witch queen wields her mighty power
A rule of evil 'cross the land
With ghosts and gargoyles close at hand
Her enemies destroyed this night
Yet one remains to set things right
A pumpkin warrior, brave and good,
The last survivor from the wood
So go now swiftly, and climb the stair
And cut a lock of the witch's hair
(Of the witch's hair)
(Of the witch's hair)
Seek out then the cauldron black
And brew a spell to change things back
Then the hag will know defeat
And thy revenge will be complete
A pumpkin warrior, brave and good,
The last survivor from the wood
So go now swiftly, and climb the stair
And cut a lock of the witch's hair
(Of the witch's hair)
(Of the witch's hair)
Compilations III
I have been waiting for the answer
To a problem I don't know
And as the years are passing
I have no more clues to show
Where are the answers?
Where are the answers?
Over time I've come to realise
There's no easy way to win
You are bound to take a beating
When time is wearing thin
Where are the answers?
Where are the answers?
When time is like a cancer
When you're locked up in the snow
And depression is surpassing
The agony in Hell below
Where are the answers?
Where are the answers?
Crazy Comets (Komet Non-Stop)
(Comets in the night sky)
C... sixty... four!
Comets dancing all around
To the electronic sound
Aber kein Kometen ...???
Dance to the melody
Kometen kommt aus Outer Space
Carrying a foreign race
But foreign races can't hurt me
Dance to the melody
Non-stop comet action will lead to mass destruction
Non-stop comet elation and an alien sensation
Non-stop comet elation and an alien sensation
Non-stop comet action will lead to mass destruction
Comets dancing all around
To the electronic sound
Aber kein Kometen ...???
Dance to the melody
Kometen kommt aus Outer Space
Carrying a foreign race
But foreign races can't hurt me
Dance to the melody
Glider Rider
As we sail across the sky
No longer visible to the eye
We are free from reality
We are the ones you cannot see
Keep on gaining altitude
Higher and higher, me and you
Until the Earth is a bright blue dot
Until each other is all we've got
Glider rider in the sky
Take me with you for a while
Life is so hard to live down here
Take me with you way up there
Glider rider in the sky
Take me with you for a while
Life is so hard to live down here
Take me with you way up there
Keep on gaining altitude
Higher and higher, me and you
Until the Earth is a bright blue dot
Until each other is all we've got
Glider rider in the sky
Take me with you for a while
Life is so hard to live down here
Take me with you way up there
Glider rider in the sky
Take me with you for a while
Life is so hard to live down here
Take me with you way up there

The Commodore 64 could be the microcomputer industry's outstanding new product introduction since the birth of this industry... since the birth of this industry... the birth, the birth, the birth, the birth of this industry... this industry.
Hell on Earth Spells Game Over
I can still hear my mother yell, "Son! Time for bed!" — and I'd put my pyjamas on, brush my teeth, and go to bed. But then I'd hear something in the dark: I would hear my computer talking to me. It would say, "Come on, dude! Just one more mission. Just one more level." And I just had to get up, and do what I must...
You search the taste of steel as you watch them burn and die.
Slaying your virtual foe, you leave them where they lie.
It's easy to be mean when death equals a high score screen
And hell on earth spells game over.
No time for innocence when death comes swift and cold.
Berserk in the night, blood is your goal.
It's easy to be mean when death equals a high score screen
And hell on earth spells game over.
You can take your Quake and go away:
I won't play it anyway.
IK+, Bubble Bobble, Ranarama beats it by far.
The graphics might be blocky, but so what?
The feeling is bad, music is rad:
Not much more to ask for or say.
The games of my childhood will stay.
I Am a Database
I am a database
I am a database
I am a database and that is all I'll ever be.
I am a database, free from redundancy.
I am a database and all I do is aim to please.
Hey baby, wanna have a taste of my primary keys?
I am a database; I only speak SQL.
I am a database communicating through a shell.
I am a database and all I do is aim to please.
Hey baby, wanna have a taste of my primary keys?
I am a database
I am a database and that is all I'll ever be.
I am a database, free from redundancy.
I am a database and all I do is aim to please.
Hey baby, wanna have a taste of my primary keys?
I am a database; I only speak SQL.
I am a database communicating through a shell.
I am a database and all I do is aim to please.
Hey baby, wanna have a taste of my primary keys?
Intro
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the Earth, and he saw that it was good. But when God had filled the heaven and the Earth with birds, mammals, fish, ??? and seen that they were good, he got bored, and so he created the Commodore 64, and he saw that it was even better: almost divine.
So he gave the Commodore 64 to the guardians of leetness, later to be known as the nerds; and now, decades later, the remains of the nerds still gather to sing the ancient songs of the SID chip.
So sing, nerds, sing with all your heart. For this is Matthew's vision, and it is almost divine.
Lazy Jones
Jones was quite a lazy man
Of game designers he was a fan
Was happy as long as he got paid
He spent his day in the arcade
But sometimes he felt all trapped inside
A haunted house with no way out
With someone watching, no way to hide
Not in control of his whereabouts
And his friends they used to say
"You've gotta break loose of that some day
The joystick is running your life
Stuck in a rut and endless strife"
But Jones didn't hear
'Cause in his head he heard the cheer
Of people singing
"Jones, he is the man
He can join my clan
He's the best score
Who could ask for more?
Jones, he is the best
Better than the rest
He's got all the scores
That are higher than yours"
His mother used to ask her son
What out of all of this he'd won
And every time he used to say
"You wouldn't understand anyway"
Then she would shake her head
Saying "Why don't you get a girl instead?
The joystick is running your life
Stuck in a rut and endless strife"
But Jones wouldn't hear
'Cause in his head he heard the cheer
Of people singing
"Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones!
Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones, Jones!"
"Jones, he is the man
He can join my clan
He's the best score
Who could ask for more?
Jones, he is the best
Better than the rest
He's got all the scores
That are higher than yours"
Madballs
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you — Madballs!
There will now be a short intermission.
Ode to My C64 (Hammerfist)
You came from heaven, sent to fill me up with joy.
My expectations rose as I played with my new toy.
The music was stomping; my heart was pumping, ready to explode.
Was it real or was it a dream? I could not really tell.
Now those days are gone, but the memory remains of you.
The ultimate game machine, the ultimate waste of time.
Sitting there for hours and hours: you became my life.
Overnight, a score: C64.
As I said, those days are gone. They won't be back for very long,
But when I fire you up again, I still feel full,
Full of energy that lies within this lump of plastic box
And the memory of old high scores and battles with my bro.
Another visitor! Stay a while. Stay forever!
I-Ball! Game over!
But then Amiga came and stole my heart from you.
I hope you will forgive me: I and you forever true.
The ultimate game machine, the ultimate waste of time.
Sitting there for hours and hours: the computer that was my life, C64.
Personal Jesus
(Depeche Mode cover)
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers, someone who cares
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers, someone who's there
Feeling unknown and you're all alone
Flesh and bone by the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I will make you a believer
Take second best; put me to the test
Things on your chest you need to confess
I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver
Reach out and touch faith
Reach out and touch faith
Your own (your own) personal (personal) Jesus (Jesus)
Someone to hear your prayers, someone who cares (aah)
Your own (your own) personal (personal) Jesus (Jesus)
Someone to hear your prayers, someone who's there (aah)
Feeling unknown and you're all alone
Flesh and bone by the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I will make you a believer
Take second best; put me to the test
Things on your chest you need to confess
I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver
Your own personal Jesus
Reach out and touch faith
Your own personal Jesus
Reach out and touch faith
Reach out and touch faith
Sacred Armour of Antiriad
Old Tal was sent out on a quest
To find the armour that was blessed
And fight off the invading force
(Comprised of aliens, of course)
O, mighty Tal, you must make haste
By enemies you are chased
If they catch you, you'll wish you had
The sacred armour of Antiriad
Sanxion
Body like an angel, face like the Devil
She came into my life
So sexy, so gorgeous
Her smile cut my heart like a knife
And then she looked at me with a stare
A stare that caressed me and rose my hair
She walked over to me, put her mouth on my ear
And whispered, "I've got a melody you want to hear"
She left the room; I was a frozen man
I want to run, but I don't think I can
She soon came back carrying a flute,
Put it to her lips with a small salute, and played
Now what could I do and what could I say?
The melody she played compelled me to stay
She'd hypnotised me with her lovely sound
You might just say that I was Spellbound
Body like an angel, face like the Devil
She came into my life
So sexy, so gorgeous
And now she's become my wife
But when she looks at me with that stare
That stare that caressed me and raise my hair
I walk over to her, put my mouth on her ear
And say "Play that melody; I want to hear"
She leaves the room and I'm the happiest man
??? run, but I don't think I can
When she comes back carrying the flute
I join in with a small salute; I play
Thanatos
Look into the future. Tell me what you see:
A burning desert wasteland, the home of you and me.
We all know what is coming but do not change our ways,
Too stuck in old behaviour, too lazy to amaze ourselves
With what we could have been,
With what we could have done,
Looking for a star, reaching for the sun;
So for all it seems,
We sacrifice our Earth 'cause the sky is our dreams.
Too busy being selfish, too busy wanting more,
Not stopping for a moment and thinking what it's for.
We all know what is coming; we know it far too well.
Still we will do anything. We will even sell ourselves
For what we could have been,
For what we could have done,
Aiming for the stars, reaching for the sun;
So for all it seems,
We sacrifice our Earth 'cause the sky is our dreams.
For what we could have been,
For what we could have done,
Aiming for the stars, reaching for the sun;
So for all it seems,
We sacrifice our Earth 'cause the sky is our dreams.
